My first great love was drawing. What started with obsessively scribbling Ninja Turtles on every scrap of paper I could find turned into a serious focus on visual art from middle school through college, where I earned a BFA in painting from University of Montevallo.

I’ve always viewed drawing as a means to larger creative ends - one step in a process. I draw to help tell stories, to bring attention to cool events, to beautify spaces, or to pre-visualize the things I build.

My favorite medium is watercolor, but I work in whatever medium best fits a project’s particular needs. For client work that tool is often digital. I specialize in illustrating with Procreate, which combines the convenience, speed, and iterative possibilities of software with the hand-made charm of traditional media.
